People are infuriated about Adipurush movie alleging that the makers played with Hindu sentiment visualizing the characters of Ramayana in a way to diminish the Great Epic & to belittle the characters thereof.  Being unmasked by Ajeet Bharti, Nupur J Sharma and many others, Adipurush makers got exposed as mere charlatans. Manoj Muntasir faced the maximum flak and obloquy as he had built up a Hindu image of himself which was utilized by those who funded the making of #Adipurush. Makers of such movies identified it right that Ramkatha has that universal appeal in Bharatvarsha. Whenever, whosoever, wherever makes a Ramkatha in whichever form of performing arts, people go watching it. Even then, makers of Adipurush became cautious to choose front faces like #manojmuntashir who had built up a ground of his own amongst #Hindus by writing some verses which appealed to Bharatiya minds.  Had, in Muntasir’s place, it been Javed Akhtar as dialogue-writer, people of Bharat would surely condemn

এম জে আকবরের বিরুদ্ধে “মি-টু” অভিযোগ এনেছিলেন সাংবাদিক প্রিয়া রামানি। 2017 সালে ভ্যোগ পত্রিকায় আর্টিকল লিখে তাঁর প্রাক্তন বসের বিরুদ্ধে যৌন হেনস্থার অভিযোগ তোলেন প্রিয়া, অতঃপর এক বছর পর 2018 সালের 8ই অক্টোবর টুইট করে প্রকাশ করেন বসের নাম এম জে আকবর। ঘটনার জেরে 2019’এর লোকসভা নির্বাচনের কয়েক মাস আগে, ভারত সরকারের বিদেশমন্ত্রকের প্রতিমন্ত্রী এম জে আকবরকে পদত্যাগ করতে হয়, যদিও এ হেন অভিযোগ অস্বীকার করে আদালতে যান আকবর এবং মানহানির মামলা করেন রামানির বিরুদ্ধে। বলেন, ভিত্তিহীন অভিযোগে সুনাম ও সম্মান নষ্ট হয়েছে তাঁর। কিন্তু অ্যাডিশনাল চীফ মেট্রোপলিটন ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট এম জে আকবরের মানহানির অভিযোগ নাকচ করে দিয়ে বলেন  "a man of social status can also be a sexual harasser" এবং "sexual abuse takes away dignity and self-confidence, and right of reputation can't be protected at the cost of right to dignity". প্রিয়া রামানির বক্তব্য ছিল, এম জে আকবরের সুনাম নষ্ট হওয়ার অভিযোগ ধোপে টেঁকে না কারণ রামানির পর তাঁর মত আর একজন সাংবাদিকও এম জে আকবরের বিরুদ্ধে ঐ একই অভিযোগ তুলেছিল
