Bengal: Victim of Political Conspiracy

Bengal now remains as a ruin of its past glory; the glory of intellectual treasure, thoughts, academic merit & spurt of energy. Have they faded long away! People are now living here like rodents, squeaking & squealing in an intellectual low land.

Bengal-psyche has been morbidly poisoned by post-independence politics i.e. synchronized orchestration of Nehruvian policies that were planned to deprive Bengal economically & Jyoti Basu's 'customized Communism'. The most painful outcome of this political conspiracy is that the people here has turned out to be myopic yet overconfident.

Post-independence political grooming of Bengal mass has cast a hypnotic spell on them that caused a dementia of our ancestral values. Most of the people have learnt to iterate rhetoric on human values without living rooted to their own ground. In the pursuit of connecting to global humanity, they detached themselves from their own heritage. This was the political objective. The politics was such that the Bengal mass had to choose between broad humanity and the so called narrow Nationalism. And in their struggle for existence, they chose the former. This choice was inevitable & programmed as it was manipulated & orchestrated by Nehru & Basu. The people here had been cunningly programmed to put down the concept of Nationalism & wanted to move way ahead towards global uniformity of humanism.

As a scientific result of it, the people of Bengal became volatile & hence vulnerable as they went to expand upward without remaining strongly grounded. Thus the people of Bengal gradually moved away from their own culture & tradition of Anushilan Samiti, Kusti-Akhra, Lathikhela, Bratachari & various other physical & cultural exercises to the so called cerebral & intellectual pursuit of Communism etc. They started brainstorming on so called global issues. They were programmed to believe our traditional values & education to be unscientific, meritless. But in reality, they themselves moved towards an intellectually compromised domain.

Had they had the scope of brainstorming on global issues remaining rooted to their own heritage & culture & could have regressed the two, Bengal would have reached a different meritocratic paradigm by today. But that didn't happen. As a result, Bengal now, is politically endangered by agents of other imperial forces. But majority of the myopic overconfident mass is unable to view & identify the danger in its proper dimensions. They are thinking that they're having nice time here and doubting that other provincial forces especially the North Indians are trying to mislead them.

Many of our fellow men are putting their endeavour to awaken & remind such common mass about our past glory, about our ancestral practices, about how we fought at the times of crises, how we led people at the times of challenges; but of little yield as yet. The so called conscious people of Bengal still remain inert & are enjoying their false intellectual euphoria.

This lack of vision is due to steady brain drain from Bengal. Bengal is steadily getting drained out of its merit. The meritocratic upper crust of Bengal is ritually & religiously moving away from Bengal since the early sixties. The superlative merits of Bengal move out as a matter of practice, just in the same way as we strain out the cream from the lighter milk at the bottom. Hence, after multiple straining of the population, majority of those who now live here are the ones who are lagging behind in some way or other. The maximum number of the remaining Bengal mass, thus, is suffering from intellectual dwarfism! They are myopic yet confident of their clear vision.

However, come what may, can we just watch our State to get captured by foreign imperial forces? We'll have to fight standing & staggering on this intellectual swamps & try to drag the myopic mass along with us. We'll have to face the undercuts, internal sabotages, unfaithfulness, traitors, ego clashes, frailties but would have to fight! Fight for Bengal. Fight to save ourselves!
